Evaluations and intervention target language processing, executive functioning, phonological and orthographic processing, reading fluency, spelling, and written language, focusing on the underlying skills required for reading development using structured, evidence-based approaches.
A formal diagnosis of dyslexia is not required to begin intervention; however, at minimum, a dyslexia screening is required prior to starting services. If your child has completed a recent evaluation through a school or another clinic within the past year, results can be shared and reviewed to determine whether additional assessment is needed before beginning intervention.
Evaluations are conducted in person in New Albany or Terre Haute, IN, with intervention services available in person and virtually throughout Indiana.
-
We partner with preschools, daycares, and community organizations to offer free speech-language and developmental screenings. Screenings help identify children who may benefit from further evaluation or early intervention services.

What to Expect:
Evaluation & Therapy Process
Initial Intake
We begin with a detailed intake to understand concerns, developmental history, and referral questions. This step helps determine the need for psychological or communication testing, ADHD evaluation, autism assessment, or dyslexia testing.
Comprehensive Assessment
In-person testing includes standardized assessment of intelligence (IQ), academic achievement, mood, behavior, personality, and/or communication skills based on referral needs.
Data Integration & Diagnosis
All data is carefully analyzed and integrated to provide accurate diagnosis.
Our approach goes beyond screening to provide meaningful clinical insight.
Feedback & Next Steps
Families and providers receive a comprehensive written report within 10 business days with clear explanations and individualized recommendations for school, home, and treatment planning.
Using Results to Guide Care
Evaluation results are used to develop targeted recommendations and guide next steps, including therapy, academic supports, and additional services.
When appropriate, findings directly inform speech therapy, dyslexia intervention, and other individualized treatment plans, ensuring services are aligned with each individual’s specific strengths and needs.
